A stay inside Cape Range National Park...

The campsites inside Cape Range National Park have apparently been full since April.

There is a little bit of a 'process' to go about getting a site. Thankfully Frank was motivated to wake up early and go and read his book at the national park entry point. He sat there and waited (with others) until the office opened and spare spots were notified to the ranger.

He struck gold!

Excited, we sped into town to fill the water tanks and buy some more supplies.  Then in we headed to set up for an 'Earth Hour' type of experience at Ned's Camp for several days.

It was great.....

You can go to the beach in your pyjamas for a play....

You can roll down the sand dunes whenever you want.....

You can find amazing wildlife at any time of the day....

A blue spotted Stingray....

and some interesting corals washed up on the beach....

You are close to new snorkelling locations.....which have more vibrant corals and fish....

Oyster Stacks snorkelling area..

You can enjoy a reasonably challenging gorge climb at the time of day that suits...

and hear you voice echoing off the gorge walls.....

and see more whales in the distant ocean....

Back at camp, skipping became the thing to do when there was nothing else to do....

Even Dad got in on the action....

Go Dad!!

Would come back to Cape Range National Park in a heartbeat...
