We touched gold; tried to lift up an ingot of gold; saw the second biggest gold nugget ever found in the world; and watched molten gold (1300 degrees) turned into a gold ingot.
Very very exciting stuff to witness. The liquid gold after being placed in water, solidified and was cool enough to touch within (2) minutes. Incredible!!
Unfortunately, we couldn't take any photos because of 'security reasons'. So for something a bit different, I thought I would show you some lovely roses from the huge, gorgeous rose garden at the mint.
As timing would have it, we also saw the Queen and all the pomp and ceremony that goes along with her, zooming down the street.
Now if she hadn't been in such a hurry, we would have invited her to join us at King's Park for a sausage sizzle.
An offer that would have been very difficult for her to refuse I'm sure.........
What a great trip you guys are making and you saw The Queen???! How awesome is that?! :-)
