I am not sure why but it was a strangely relaxing long drive. There was no hurry hurry feel, minimal traffic, Andrew was leading the way always in sight, and the every-changing landscape was beautiful.
Huge escarpments and the most amazing Boab trees you could possibly ever see were part of this amazing landscape.
All kids were well watered and full up on fruit and biscuits in the back.
Dad was cruising along doing 80-90 singing along to Powderfinger and Paul Kelly. Mum even did a few rows of a crocheted blanket.
No schoolwork today (again). Charlie was keeping us entertained with his mispronunciation of certain words such as: CARBONARA for Kununarra and BRUMBERIES for Brumbies (horses) and his ever long list of questions about anything and everything......
The chillaxxed holiday feeling is really starting to happen...

Looking forward to what the wonderful west has to offer........
You are all looking very brown and healthy! I remember boats from when I was a child in Cunnamulla. Very surreal!
